Kosmetyki do masażu twarzy: jakie wybrać i jakie korzyści przynoszą?

Kosmetyki do masażu twarzy odgrywają kluczową rolę w pielęgnacji skóry, wspomagając jej regenerację i poprawiając ogólny wygląd.

Aby uzyskać najlepsze efekty, warto wprowadzić masaż twarzy do swojej codziennej rutyny pielęgnacyjnej. Nawet kilka minut dziennie może znacząco poprawić kondycję skóry, szczególnie jeśli używamy do tego wysokiej jakości kosmetyków.

Wybór najlepszych olejków do masażu twarzy

Olej arganowySkóra sucha, dojrzałaOdżywia, ujędrnia, zapobiega starzeniuZawiera witaminę E i kwasy tłuszczowe

  11. Do Greens and crossbenchers who claim that transparency
and integrity is at the heart of their reason for entering Parliament in the first place hear themselves?

In the past few days they have mounted self-serving arguments
against proposed electoral reforms that the major parties look set to come together
    to support.

The reforms include caps for how much money wealthy individuals can donate, caps on the amount candidates can spend in individual electorates to prevent the equivalent of an arms race, and a $90million limit on what any
party can spend at an election – actually less than the
    major parties currently spend.

The proposed new laws also include lower disclosure thresholds for donations, thus increasing the transparency
of who makes political donations in the first place.

So the wealthy wont be able to hide behind anonymity
while using their cash to influence election outcomes – and the extent to which they can use their wealth at all
    will be limited.

The bill will further improve transparency by also increasing the speed and frequency that disclosures of
    donations need to be made.

At present we have the absurd situation in which donations get made – but you only find
out the details of who has given what to whom
many months later, well after elections are won and lost.

In other words, what is broadly being proposed will
result in much greater transparency and far less big money
being injected into campaigning by the wealthy.

Teal Kylea Tink claimed the major parties were 'running scared’ with the policy
and warned the reform would 'not stop the rot’

Greens senate leader Larissa Waters (left) fired a warning shot – saying
if it serves only the major parties 'it’s a rort, not reform’. Teal
independent ACT senator David Pocock (right) said: 'What seems to be happening is a major-party
    stitch-up’

Anyone donating more than $1,000 to a political party, as opposed to $16,000 under the
current rules, will need to disclose having done
so. And how much they can donate will be capped.

Yet the Greens and Teals have quickly condemned the proposed new laws, labeling
them a 'stitch-up’, 'outrageous’ and 'a rort, not a reform’.

They have lost their collective minds after finding out that Labor’s proposal just might
secure the support of the opposition.

I had to double check who was criticising what exactly before even starting to write this column.

Because I had assumed – incorrectly – that these
important transparency measures stamping out the influence of the wealthy must have been proposed by the virtue-signalling Greens or the corruption-fighting Teals, in a united crossbench effort
to drag the major parties closer to accountability.

    More fool me.

The bill, designed to clean up a rotten system, is being put forward by Labor and is opposed by a growing cabal of
    crossbenchers.

It makes you wonder what they have to hide. Put simply,
the Greens and Teals doth protest too much on this issue.

Labor is thought to be trying to muscle out major political
    donors such as Clive Palmer

Another potential target of the laws is businessman and Teal funder Simon Holmes à Court

The Greens have taken massive donations in the past, contrary
to their irregular calls to tighten donations rules (Greens
leader Adam Bandt and Senator Mehreen Faruqi are pictured)

The major parties have long complained about the influence
the likes of Simon Holmes à Court wields behind the scenes amongst the Teals.

And we know the Greens have taken massive donations from the wealthy in the past, contrary to their irregular calls to tighten donations rules.

Now that tangible change has been proposed, these bastions of virtue are running a mile from reforms that will curtail dark
    art of political donations.

The Labor government isn’t even seeking for these transparency rules
to take effect immediately, by the way. It won’t be some sort of quick-paced power play
before the next election designed to catch the crossbench out.

They are aiming for implementation by 2026, giving everyone enough
time to absorb and understand the changes before preparing for them.

Don’t get me wrong, no deal has yet been done
between Labor and the Coalition. I imagine the opposition want to go over
the laws with a fine tooth comb.

As they should – because it certainly isn’t beyond Labor to include hidden one-party
advantages in the proposed design which would create loopholes only the unions are
capable of taking advantage of, therefore disadvantaging the Coalition electorally in the years to come.

But short of such baked-in trickiness scuttling a deal to get these proposed
laws implemented, the crossbench should offer their support,
not cynical opposition, to what is being advocated for.

They might even be able to offer something worthwhile that could be incorporated in the
    package.

To not do so exposes their utter hypocrisy and blowhard false commentary about being in politics to 'clean things up’.

  13. Joe Aston got the kind of book launch every first time author dreams of – massive amounts of free publicity online, in newspapers
    and on TV and radio.

And it was all thanks to Anthony Albanese’s ill-informed
attack on Aston over what was written in his book, The Chairman’s Lounge – The Inside Story of how Qantas sold us out.

Despite the resultant terrible publicity – which has led to him being called 'upgrade Albo’ – and calls for an inquiry, Aston told Daily
Mail Australia his book is 'not a hit job on Anthony Albanese’.

Aston insisted he’s 'not trying to get a scalp’, but reiterated that the Prime Minister 'had a direct line to Alan Joyce’.

The book claims Mr Albanese got 22 upgrades from economy on Qantas flights by personally requesting them from the airline’s then CEO Mr Joyce – which the Prime Minister has categorically denied.

According to unnamed Qantas 'insiders’, 11 of the 22 flights Mr Albanese got upgrades for
were 'privately funded’ and included overseas trips to Rome, London, Los Angeles and Honolulu.

But instead of addressing the claim, Mr Albanese chose to shoot the messenger and,
in turn, shot himself in the foot.

He said Aston was using the accusations to sell books and said he was hiding his employment history.

    'I don’t see declarations that he’s a former Liberal Party staffer… I
don’t see declarations he’s a former Qantas employee,’ the Prime
    Minister said.

But before the book even gets to the contents page there
is a photo of Aston that refers to him as the then-Qantas corporate communications senior adviser.

Joe Aston (pictured) got the kind of book launch every first time author dreams of
    – massive amounts of free publicity online, in newspapers and
    on TV and radio

Anthony Albanese (right) is pictured with his fiance Jodie Haydon (left)
and then Qantas CEO Alan Joyce on March 31, 2023 in Sydney,
    Australia

And the first chapter of the book reveals that he worked for then-Liberal MP Bruce Baird, who held
the southern Sydney seat of Cook before Scott Morrison.

'My professional history is not a secret or not disclosed, it’s in the first line of the first page of the
book,’ Aston said on Tuesday night, just before his book launch.

Though he was grateful for the free publicity Mr Albanese’s response gave the book,
Aston was still 'staggered’ at the untrue claims about him the Prime Minister
    made.

'He’s under enormous pressure and I know, I’ve seen this many times with public figures and leaders who struggle to see their own part in it, the terrible circumstances that they create,’ he said.

Extravagant Qantas perk Anthony Albanese FAILED to declare is
revealed… after two days of denials

Asked if Mr Albanese had been poorly advised in his attack, Aston, who is a former Australian Financial Review columnist, wonders if the Prime Minister 'even listens to advice at this point’.

'All he’s doing is talking around the issue and he’s blaming me and
he’s blaming other MP’s for also taking upgrades (on Qantas
    flights).

'He’s avoiding the only thing that he can’t talk about,
which is, did you ask Qantas for confirmed upgrades
on your private holidays when you were the
Transport Minister? The answer is „yes” and he’s desperately trying
    to avoid saying it.’

Smelling blood, Opposition leader Peter Dutton said the Prime Minister should refer himself to the anti-corruption commission over the flight upgrades.

Coming on top of Mr Albanese’s tone deaf purchase of a $4.3million clifftop mansion while so many people are struggling to pay
their mortgage or rent, the latest blow to his credibility has led to
    calls for him to resign.

Aston refuses to be drawn on this, though.

'I never expected this (part of the book) to even this
part to get this far. I really am shocked at how it’s blown up.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is pictured with the
    then Qantas CEO Alan Joyce

Anthony Albanese is pictured on August 14, 2023 as Qantas
unveiled its Yes23 livery in support of a Yes vote in the Indigenous
    Voice to Parliament referendum

Among the movers and shakers at Joe Aston’s book launch in the ritzy
Hemmesphere club in Sydney was Tabcorp director David Gallop (pictured)

Paul Barry (pictured in blue shirt), the host of the ABC’s Media Watch
show, was also at the launch

'So to the extent that it has, I would say … anyone who
reads the book will learn that this book is not a hit job on Anthony Albanese.

    This book is about Qantas.

'Anthony Albanese is an example of how Qantas influences politicians on both sides of the aisle, Labor,
Liberal, National, you name it. They’ve been doing it for more than a generation.

'They’re the best influence peddler in Australia. I’m not here trying to get a scalp.
That’s not what this book is about and it never was.’

But the conversation Daily Mail Australia had with
Aston mirrors the conversations being had across Australia and
eventually winds up back on Mr Albanese.

'Even I’ve underestimated how fed up the public is with the freebie mindset
    of politicians,’ he said.

Guests at Joe Aston’s book launch on Tuesday night are pictured pointing for emphasis or to someone they recognise

There was no shortage of free alcohol (pictured) available at the launch of Joe Aston’s
    book

Joe Aston is pictured in the exclusive Hemmesphere club
in Sydney, where his book The Chairman’s Lounge was launched

'And unfortunately for Albanese, he’s been in politics a long time
and that kind of behaviour is quite normalised to him, is what I’ve seen.

'I mean, he loves the free concert tickets and
sitting at the front row of the Australian Open Tennis.

'I went to the Australian Open Tennis as a journalist almost every year for 12 years and he was
the only Prime Minister (I saw there).

'Those tickets are worth thousands of dollars to sit in the front row of
the International Grand Slam. He’s the first Prime Minister who I’ve ever seen do
    that.

'That to me is a sign that he doesn’t quite get what it looks
like to others when he’s on the gravy train. And I think (the claims
in the book are) just another example of that.’

In Australian politics it’s regular practise for an MP’s
travel to be booked in economy, then someone
in their office phones the airline and asks if
    their flight can be upgraded.

The difference with the Prime Minister is that 'he had a very direct line to Alan Joyce,’ Aston said.

'The other thing is there’s a difference between an upgrade where it’s in the booking and if
the seat’s empty when the flight closes, you’ll get upgraded.

'This is different. This is a confirmed upgrade where the ticket
is converted and you are guaranteed. You’re not going to the airport crossing
your fingers going „Geez, I hope there is a spare seat”.

'You’re guaranteed. You turn up knowing you’re getting a seat and the only person at Qantas who
can issue those types of upgrades is the CEO. No other executive can do that.

'So it is beyond question that Alan joints authorised these upgrades (for Anthony Albanese).’

Aston enjoyed many upgrades to the pointy end of planes during his time as a travel journalist, and understands
the attraction for politicians to get up there.

'These things are tempting and it’s human nature too. Once
you’ve experienced the front of the plane, it’s very hard to go back.

'For politicians, they run around with all these staff and they’ve got chauffeured cars and they
fly in business, but they don’t get paid like CEOs …

'They’re not in a situation where they can afford to go flying around in the
front of the plane on personal travel.

'A normal person would say „Therefore I won’t (fly business class). But (for politicians) it’s a culture of entitlement.’

Aston is careful to point out that most people would say politicians are 'very well paid compared to the average worker’.

But that doesn’t stop some MPs from desperately seeking a free ride, whether it’s a flight upgrade, concert tickets or the executive box at sporting events.

Late on Wednesday night, a spokeswoman Mr Albanese said 'The Prime Minister did not ever call Alan Joyce seeking an upgrade’.

'All travel has been appropriately declared and is a matter of public record.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Qantas for comment.

  15. Anthony Albanese has tried to claim his relationship with Alan Joyce
was a strictly professional one between a Prime Minister and a corporate titan, as he battles
claims the Qantas boss was his 'personal travel agent’ for free flights
    and upgrades.

However that characterization of the relationship was at
odds with that made by Mr Joyce, who said he
was 'good mates’ with Mr Albanese and had been 'for years’.

In the wake of the explosive claims that the Prime Minister had Mr Joyce arrange
free tickets and upgrades, Mr Albanese distanced himself
    from the Qantas chief.

When asked about about their relationship on Sunday Mr Albanese implied it was purely in a
professional capacity, having been Transport Minister and shadow transport spokesperson before becoming
    Prime Minister.

'He (Joyce) was the CEO of the national airline … I had the same relationship with him that I have with John Borghetti as
the CEO of Virgin,’ Mr Albanese said.

That assessment was at odds with the many photos showing Mr Albanese
and Mr Joyce apparently greatly enjoying each other’s company.

Mr Albanese and Mr Joyce were pictured in high spirits on the red carpet at the Qantas 100th Gala Dinner in March last year.

In photos from the event, Mr Joyce proudly walks the red carpet with one arm
around the prime minister and the other around Mr Albanese’s partner, Jodie Haydon.

Just five months later, in August, a smiling Mr Albanese attended Qantas’s unveiling of it’s special 'Yes 23′ emblazoned airplanes for the Voice referendum.

Former Qantas CEO Alan Joyce jovially walked the red carpet with one
arm around the prime minister and the other around his partner, Jodie Haydon for a special anniversary event last year

Mr Joyce was seen touching Mr Albanese’s arm,
with the PM bursting into laughter.

Even when Scott Morrison was PM,  Mr Joyce enjoyed
an apparently close relationship with Mr Albanese as the
pair stood close together at the launch of the Qantas’ landmark Perth to London flight in March, 2018.

During a Senate hearing in September 2023, Mr Joyce said he had been 'friends for years’ with Mr Albanese.

Asked about why he gifted Mr Albanese’s son Nathan a membership to the prestigious and exclusive Chairman’s Lounge Mr Joyce refused to confirm or deny but talked up his
    relationship with the Prime Minister.

'I’ve been good mates with Albo for some time,’ Mr Joyce said.

However, the then Qantas CEO refused to say whether he lobbied the Prime Minister on the controversial decision to lock competitor Qatar Airways
    out of domestic routes.

It has since emerged in a new book about Qantas, The
Chairman’s Lounge, by former Australian Financial Review columnist Joe Aston that Ms Haydon is also a Chairman’s Lounge member.

Mr Albanese and Mr Joyce also appeared to greatly enjoying each other’s company
at  a Qantas event in August last year

Anthony Albanese fires up and launches a brutal personal attack on book author

Reports have emerged in a new book Mr Albanese received 22 upgrades from economy from Qantas and he would liaise
personally with the former airline boss for them.

Aston also alleged Mr Albanese directly contacted Mr Joyce while in his various parliamentary
jobs to ask for special upgrades for himself or his
    family.

According to unnamed Qantas 'insiders’ 11 of the 22 flights Mr
Albanese received upgrades for were 'privately funded’ and included overseas trips to Rome, London, Los Angeles and Honolulu, with some being
    for holidays.

Mr Albanese insisted on Tuesday that the London flights was for
work purposes and all were 'declared in the appropriate way’.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has leapt on the accusations describing Mr Albanese as
being the 'best friend’ of Mr Joyce.

Mr Dutton told Sky News on Monday night it was 'strange’ Mr Albanese had directly contacted Mr Joyce to request upgrades while holding a regulatory position in the transport sector.

'If you’re the Transport Minister and you’re picking up the phone to
one of the most important stakeholders in the portfolio asking for a free upgrade, then again, I think the Prime Minister would be
able to answer those questions more effectively than anyone else because I’m not aware
of anyone else having done it,’ Mr Dutton said.

It has since emerged that Ms Haydon also has membership of the Qantas Chairman’s Lounge

The Prime Minister denied frequently asking Mr Joyce for upgrades on Tuesday at press conference in the NSW
    city of Newcastle.

'The only discussions that I can recall
with Alan Joyce certainly were not discussed through calls – we discussed the first flight from Australia to Dubai on the A380,’ he said.

'I’ve declared everything in accordance with all of the rules.’

Aston was asked on Monday night by ABC interviewer Sarah Ferguson about how confident he was that Mr Albanese had made calls personally to
    Mr Joyce for upgrades.

'I am very comfortable with my sourcing,’ Aston said.

Asked whether he thought Mr Albanese had been influenced by Mr Joyce’s lobbying to block UAE airline Qatar domestically
Aston said it was 'implausible’ to think that the Prime Minister’s
office had nothing to do with the decision.

Mr Albanese’s son Nathan, 24, has reportedly also been granted access to the Qantas Chairman’s
Lounge (pictured, Mr Albanese and son Nathan in May, 2022)

'It’s very hard to imagine a decision of any political sensitivity in the Albanese government that would not go through the Prime Minister’s office,’ Aston replied.

He noted the opening up of the Australian domestic market Qatar had seemingly been sailing through with Transport Minister Catherine King
speaking warmly about the proposal until 'everything changed’
to stop it dead in tracks.

Ms King repeatedly denied in parliament the decision to block Qatar was due to Qantas lobbying
    her or any Labor colleagues.

Despite Mr Albanese claiming he declared
every upgrade received from Qantas the Australian Financial Review reported on Tuesday that he failed to do for his former wife Carmel
Tebbutt when the two traveled together.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has  questioned the alleged personal
requests Mr Albanese made to Mr Joyce  while in his various parliamentary jobs

Even when Scott Morrison was prime minister, Mr Joyce appeared to have a
close relationship with Mr Albanese (the pair are pictured at
    an event in 2019)

Sky New host Sharri Markson on Monday night labeled Mr Joyce as
    'basically Albanese’s personal travel agent.’

'This is all a question of integrity. Most Australians struggle to afford even an economy airfare.
They’d never be able to afford the luxury of business class.
It’s out of our reach,’ she said.

'Can Albanese truly be impartial when it comes to making decisions about Qantas when he’s been getting tens
of thousands of dollars worth of free upgrades to business class?
The revelations puts the decision he made as transport minister and prime minister
    under a cloud.

'Aside from the integrity issues, this revelation is also politically
lethal. Albanese took care to curate a self-image of a housing commission boy
who made it. But now the perception is cementing of a long-term pollie enjoying the perks of public office.’

Another awkward paradox of Mr Albanese’s  apparent close relationship with Mr
Joyce is that the Labor leader in a trade unionist advocate while Qantas attempted to break the power of
the Transport Workers Union by sacking 1700 staff during Covid.

The sacking has since been ruled illegal by Federal Court
in a case brought by the union with Qantas facing possible hundreds
    of thousands in compensation payouts.

The friendship however did find one perhaps unlikely defender in semi-retired 3AW radio star Neil
    Mitchell.

'Quick test: upgrade Albo is a bad look,’ Mitchell wrote on X.

'But does anybody believe he was seriously compromised by having Alan Joyce as a bestie?
Time to rewrite rules governing politicians.’

  23. Jackie O Henderson has left her father Tony red-faced after a shocking stunt in which he was tricked into reading about
    her threesome live on-air.

The awkward family exchange occurred on Tuesday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show when the radio queen and co-host Kyle Sandilands were discussing Jackie’s new memoir The Whole Truth.

Before getting her father on the line, Jackie explained to listeners that she was about
to get an unsuspecting Tony to read an excerpt that
detailed a night of passion with then boyfriend 'Ugly’ Phil O’Neil and
    a 19-year-old stripper.

'So this is going back to my Gold Coast days when I had met
Phil who [later became] my first husband,’ the 49-year-old explained.

'I had only just met him at this point. I think [we were] two months
    into seeing each other.’

Jackie then prompted her unprepared father to read the excerpt that
detailed Phil’s living situation with the stripper and another,
    rather unsavory 'stoner’ flatmate.

'He lived in a place in Main Beach that felt like a motel with two weird flatmates.
One was a stoner guy who would sit there blazed out of his gourd,’ Tony read from Jackie’s book.

Jackie O Henderson has left her father Tony a little red faced after making him
read about her first threesome live on air

The book then turned to Jackie’s first ménage à trois.

'Then there was the stripper they lived with [named]
    Christie,’ Tony read.

'We went out to a nightclub one night and we came home and we
were having sex and Christie decided she wanted to join us.

never even considered it because it didn’t sound like me.’

Tony soldiered on with the revealing passage which revealed that Jackie and Phil’s third was only interested in one
    half of the equation.

'I had no idea what to do – she was this cute 19-year-old with a dark bob and an amazing body but she was only into women,’ Tony continued.

'Phil was really excited but Christie kept slapping him away.
She did her thing and then left.’

When Kyle asked Jackie to clarify what she meant by 'did her thing’, a sheepish Jackie replied: 'Let’s not talk about this in front of my
    dad, shall we.’

'I had no idea what to do she was this cute 19 year old with a dark

Despite the raciness of the content he had just read from his daughter’s book, Tony admitted he was not shocked by the revelations.

'Am I amazed? Probably not,’ he said.

'I’m sort of trying to take all of this in. After all, its my daughter we’re talking about.

If it was somebody else, it would be a different story altogether.
    I’d be so excited.

'I’ve been round the block a few times. I understand
    how these things happen.’

Another passage in the book revealed a very awkward encounter between Phil’s male
    flatmate and Jackie’s mother Julie.

'My mum came over once and when no one answered the door, she put her face
to the screen to see inside and that flatmate was right there in the living room,
pants down, w***ing,’ a shocked Tony read.

The revelations come after Jackie spoke for the first time about her years-long battle with drugs which saw her secretly go to rehab at The Betty Ford Clinic in November in 2022.

During a tearful on-air admission, Jackie said at the height of her addiction, she took around
10-12 Stilnox/Ambien sleeping pills and 24 Panadeine Forte
    painkillers a day.

a number of fans of the sequel took to social
media over the weekend in defense of the sequel to Todd Phillips’ 2019 motion picture.

The film, which sees Joaquin Phoenix return to the lead role of The Joker/Arthur
Fleck, debuted to a paltry $40 million at the domestic box office, good enough for the weekend’s
top spot, but less than projections, and
    half that of its predecessor.

Amid the early returns, a number of fans took up for the movie and its cinematic depth, in breaking away from the cookie cutter nature of sequels
to introduce a musical element not present in the first film, with Lady Gaga
    joining the franchise.

'Joker 2 was amazing,’ one user said, adding that it was '100% as divisive as people are making it out to be.

I love that the film didn’t try to be a traditional
sequel, and fully committed to the storytelling they presented.
It never deviated to be a film full of Easter eggs or any other crowd pleasing aspects.’

Another user said, 'I kinda loved Joker 2. I loved how it was structured as a meta-exploration of the first film’s fandom and the
musical elements were a lot of fun.’

Amid tepid returns at the box office for Joker: Folie à Deux, a number of fans of the sequel took to social media over the weekend in defense of the sequel to

'The Joker 2 hate is so forced like did we watched the same movie????????’ one user said,
while another said the hate for the film is 'so unjustified.’

One fan predicted that the motion picture with stand the test of time
    with audiences.

'I may be one of ten people who genuinely liked the
Joker 2. Remember me when society circles back to it in 10 years and says its a
masterpiece,’ said the user. 'The world just wasn’t ready for it yet.’

Said one user: 'I actually thoroughly enjoyed it.
If you don’t like musicals or 'art house’ style films you probably won’t like
it because it’s not made for you. The dynamic between Harley and Joker was brilliant
and showcased the 'obsession’ that is key to that duo.’

The movie’s box office collapse was swift and has many in the industry wondering: How did the highly anticipated sequel to an Oscar-winning,
billion-dollar film with the same creative team go wrong?
Just three weeks ago, tracking services pegged the movie for a $70 million debut, which would
still have been down a fair amount from Joker’s record-breaking $96.2 million launch in October 2019.

A number of fans took to social media to defend the controversial
    sequel

Amid the early returns, a number of fans took up for the movie and its cinematic
depth, in breaking away from the cookie cutter nature of
sequels to introduce a musical element not present
in the first film, with Lady Gaga joining the franchise

Reviews were mixed out of the Venice Film Festival, where it premiered in competition like the
first movie and even got a 12-minute standing ovation.

But the homecoming glow was short-lived, and the fragile
foundation would crumble in the coming weeks with its Rotten Tomatoes score dropping from 63 percent at Venice to 33 percent by its first weekend in theaters. Perhaps even more surprising were
the audience reviews: Ticket buyers polled on opening night gave the
film a deadly D CinemaScore. Exit polls from PostTrak weren’t any better.

It got a meager half star out of five possible.

'That´s a double whammy that´s very difficult to recover from,’ said
Paul Dergarabedian, the senior media analyst for Comscore.
'The biggest issue of all is the reported budget. A $40 or $50 million opening for a less expensive movie
    would be a solid debut.’

Joker: Folie à Deux cost at least twice as much as the first film to produce, though reported figures vary at exactly how pricey it was to make.
Phillips told Variety that it was less than the reported $200 million; Others have
it pegged at $190 million. Warner Bros. released the film in 4,102 locations in North America.
About 12.5 percent of its domestic total came from 415 IMAX screens.

Internationally, it’s earned $81.1 million from 25,788 screens, bringing its total global earnings estimate to $121.1 million. In the next two weeks, Joker 2 will also
    open in Japan and China.

Second place went to Universal and DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot, which added $18.7 million in its second weekend,
bringing its domestic total to nearly $64 million. Globally,
it’s made over $100 million. Warner Bros.’ Beetlejuice Beetlejuice  took third place in weekend five, Paramount’s Transformers One
landed in fourth and Universal and Blumhouse’s Speak No Evil rounded out the top five.

The other big new release of the weekend, Lionsgate’s White
Bird, flopped with just $1.5 million from just over 1,
000 locations, despite an A+ CinemaScore.

Overall, the weekend is up from the same frame last year, but Joker’s start is an unwelcome twist for theater owners hoping to narrow
    the box office deficit.

The sequel has already been the subject of many think pieces, some who
posit that it was deliberately alienating fans of the first movie

Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix have said they aspired to make
something as 'audacious’ as the first film. The sequel added Lady Gaga into the fold , as a Joker superfan, and delved
further into the mind of Arthur Fleck, imprisoned at Arkham and awaiting trial for the murders he committed in the first.
It´s also a musical, with elaborately imagined song and dance numbers to old standards.

Gaga even released a companion album called ”Harlequin,’ alongside the film.

The sequel has already been the subject of many think pieces,
some who posit that it was deliberately alienating fans of the first movie.

In cruder terms, it´s been called a 'middle finger.’ But
fans often ignore the advice of critics, especially when it
comes to opening their wallets to see revered comic book characters
    on the big screen.

'They took a swing for the fences,’ Dergarabedian said.
'But except for a couple of outliers, audiences in 2024
seem to want to know what they´re getting when they´re going to the
theater. They want the tried and true, the familiar.’

Deadline editor Anthony D´Alessandro thinks the problem started with the idea to make the Joker sequel a musical.

'No fan of the original movie wanted to see a musical sequel,’
    he wrote on Saturday.

The first film was also divisive and the subject of much discourse, then about whether it might send the
wrong message to the wrong type of person. And yet people still flocked to
see what the fuss was about. Joker went on to pick up 11 Oscar nominations, including
best picture and best director, and three wins.
It also made over $1 billion and was the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, until
this summer when Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine took
    the crown.

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S.
and Canadian theaters, according to Comscore.
Final domestic figures will be released Monday.

enjoying an exclusive and discretionary perk from Qantas during a
tense exchange with a journalist live on radio.

The Greens leader has been outed as a member of the Qantas Chairman’s Lounge, an invitation-only
set of catered waiting areas and services handed out by the airline in what has been called 'Australia’s most exclusive
    club’.

Mr Bandt was challenged on Monday by ABC Radio National stand-in host Steve Cannane that he was 'enjoying free hospitality from a company that has illegally sacked hundreds of workers’.

Mr Bandt replied: 'And I’ll declare that and people can make their own judgement about what
    they think about that.’

Cannane was referring to the Federal Court’s ruling that
Qantas illegally sacked 1,700 workers at the start of the Covid
pandemic in a case brought by Transport Workers Union.

Commenting on the sacking in June of 2020, Mr Bandt called it a 'devastating day for thousands of Qantas workers & their families’ in a Facebook post.

'We’re thinking of you,’ he wrote.

Cannane challenged Mr Bandt further saying: 'You don’t think you should be a little purer on this and
just not take their (Qantas’s) hospitality?’

Mr Bandt said he always made declarations about matters such as this and argued
that the party’s policies to tax big corporations
heavily show the perks were not impacting the Greens.

How Greens leader Adam Bandt spent thousands on private jet flights while lecturing YOU about climate change

Mr Bandt was spotted in September flying business class from Melbourne to Canberra seated next to Senator Jacqui Lambie.

Albanese government ministers Tim Watts and Catherine King were
on the same flight but were with the masses in economy class.

It has been previously reported that Mr Bandt opts to frequently fly business despite his
party’s core policy of cutting C02 emissions.

Flying business class emits about three times as much carbon as economy class
because the seats take up more room and more of them
are empty, according to a World Bank study.

Fellow Greens MP Max Chandler-Mather last year said he had shunned a Chairman’s Lounge membership and refuses to travel business class.

Earlier this year Mr Bandt’s flying habits led to controversy.

Mr Bandt’s flying habits have been a previous source of controversy after it was revealed he frequently opts for business class and has even taken private jets to election events

Mr Bandt used two private jets during the 2022 federal election campaign,
landing tax payers with the $23,000 bill.

One flight was between Queensland regional centres Townsville and Rockhampton on March 7
but he also boarded a $15,000 private plane along
the well-travelled Brisbane to Canberra route to attend his
    party’s election campaign launch.

Mr Bandt isn’t the only politician in the hot seat with Prime Minister
Anthony Albanese being asked if he has included both his son and partner as 'plus one’ Chairman’s
    Club members.

He is also being asked about free flight upgrades including an international one he is alleged to have received from Qantas
in new book The Chairman’s Lounge authored by former Australian Financial Review columnist Joe Aston.

The Greens are licking their electoral wounds after the
Queensland state poll, where they are battling to hold onto their two seats after stating they aimed to triple their representation in parliament.

With 72 per cent of the vote counted they appear
to have retained the Brisbane seat of Maiwar but suffered a 4.6 per
    cent swing to the ALP.

However, they remain behind South Brisbane,
which has seen a massive 12.4 per cent swing to Labor with 64 per cent of votes counted.

WHAT IS THE QANTAS CHAIRMAN’S CLUB?

The Qantas Chairman’s Lounge is an invitation-only club approved
by the company chairman, with the guest list a closely-guarded secret.

It has been dubbed 'the most exclusive club in the country’ and comes with a distinct black card.

Members include senior-ranking MPs including ministers, state premiers and the Prime Minister,
leaders of major unions and sporting groups, Qantas ambassadors,
selected A-list celebrities, major corporate figures and high-profile media personalities.

The clubs can be found in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide but are not
signed, you have to know where to look.

Inside you will find expensive wood and brass furnishings, wool carpet and marble flooring
    all bathed in natural light.

Members enjoy fine à la carte dining with
a complimentary premium array of beers, spirits and Australian wines.
Wine bottles are often given as departing gift

Facilities may also include spas, showers and an assortment
    of books and magazines.

Members may bring in two guests at a time.

Lounge attendants personally alert you when your flight is to
board and your personal preferences are logged for each flight.
Membership also entitles you to first-class facilities at
    Qantas partner airlines.

  42. SHANGHAI, Oct 9 (Reuters) – China’s yuan held steady against
    the U.S.
dollar on Wednesday, as investors awaited more stimulus from
the world’s second-largest economy and the Federal Reserve’s
September meeting minutes due later in the day to gauge its policy path.

The dollar held steady, giving some relief to the
yuan after a sharp rally to a seven-week high last week.

Spot yuan opened at 7.0650 per dollar and was last trading 12 pips lower than the previous late session close at 7.066.
Prior to the market opening, the People’s Bank
of China (PBOC) set the midpoint rate, around which the yuan is allowed to trade in a 2% band,
at 7.0568 per dollar, only 3 pips weaker than a Reuters’ estimate.

China’s blue-chip CSI300 index dropped for the first time since Sept.
13, poised to snapping a 10-day winning streak, after officials on Tuesday failed to offer much
new on stimulus plans to revive the economy. The yuan is down 0.7% against the dollar so far this month,
due to broad dollar strength, but the currency has 0.5% firmed for the year-to-date.

China equities’ recent rally has raised the bar for an upside surprise from expected fiscal stimulus news, said UBS
strategists led by Rohit Arora, adding that the offshore
yuan’s near-term risk reward is unattractive. „Historically, fizzling of China equities’ spurts acted as a bigger drag on CNH vis-à-vis the tailwinds from equities’ surge,” the strategists said.

Nevertheless, market participants are still awaiting additional stimulus measures that
could help further lift China asset sentiment. Citi FX traders think the offshore yuan could trade well if local equities remain supported, similar to what happened in Nov.
2022 – Jan. 2023, according to the bank’s note to clients.

The offshore yuan traded at 7.0682 yuan per dollar, up about 0.09% in Asian trade.

    The dollar’s six-currency index was 0.039% higher at 102.53.

  43. July 23 (Reuters) – Philip Morris International pushed the test-launch
of its heated tobacco device, IQOS, in the U.S. to the fourth quarter
on Tuesday and lowered its annual forecast for the heated tobacco business.

The pilot was earlier scheduled to run in Austin,
Texas, in the second quarter, for which the company reported results on the day.

The company declined to comment on why the launch had been delayed.

Philip Morris has invested billions to promote and expand
its portfolio of alternatives to traditional combustible cigarettes amid stricter regulations and
falling smoking rates in some markets.

The launch of its flagship heated tobacco device in the United States is also facing resistance from
health campaigners, who have written to regulators in the country accusing the company of
misrepresenting past regulatory decisions, Reuters reported last week.

The company also awaits market authorization from the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration for its IQOS ILUMA device, which it expects by the second half of
    2025.

A ban on flavored heated tobacco in the European Union has already hit shipments this year, with Philip
Morris saying the impact from the ban was „slightly greater” than previously assumed.

This led the company to temper its expectations for volume growth
in the heated tobacco category to around 13% for the full year, down from between 14% and
    16% expected earlier.

However, Philip Morris topped quarterly expectations and raised its annual sales and profit forecasts, betting
on demand for its Zyn nicotine pouches, as well as higher cigarette pricing.

  45. Dressing up for Thanksgiving can be tricky because you want to strike a balance
    of style, comfort and practicality.

The day often involves a mix of eating, lounging, socializing, and
possibly outdoor activities so finding an outfit that’s both chic
    and cozy can be challenging.

Plus, with all the eating, your look needs to be forgiving at the waist but
formal enough for all the pics!

Daily Mail reveals the best colors, silhouettes, and shoes for every kind of celebration.

Dressing up for Thanksgiving can be tricky because you want
to strike a balance of style, comfort and practicality

    SPIRITED COLORS

Warm, earthy tones that mimic fall foliage are the best colors to wear on Turkey Day.

While black may seem like a logical choice for eating a
large meal, festive tones like burnt orange, mustard yellow, forest green, browns and burgundy are a beautiful alternative for the season.

Burnt orange: Evokes feelings of comfort and warmth, and is associated with foliage,
    fireplaces, and pumpkins.

Mustard yellow: Captures the essence of the season by resembling the color of changing leaves.

Forest green: Associated with nature, it aligns with the
    theme of the holiday.

Browns: Perceived as warm and inviting, brown shades like chocolate, caramel and camel, are perfect for a family gathering.

Burgundy:  This year’s hottest color, burgundy lends an air of sophistication.

Cream: Natural yet elegant, the neutral creates balance.

Gold: Adds a luxurious touch to any look.

Layering these color with textured fabrics, like knits or suede and a
touch of silk, can create a stylish, seasonally appropriate look.

Shades that represent fallen leaves lend a rich, cozy feel
    and festive tone

    both by Cinq à Sept.

Finishing her monochromatic look was a pretty, pale pink beauty
    look.

This is a sharp ensemble for Thanksgiving day.

    NON-RESTRICTIVE SILHOUETTES

Comfortable and forgiving waistlines are highly desired on Thanksgiving.

Elastic waistbands: The stretch of the fabric allows for stomach expansion and
    a second serving of dessert!

Empire waist: The fitted bodice ends just below the bust (instead of at the waistline)
and extends to a flowing skirt.

Drawstring: Allows for easy adjustments throughout
the day offering a more relaxed fit than a traditional button and zipper
    closure.

A-line: Flaring out at the hips, the „A”
shape provides movement without the discomfort of a waistband.

Wrap style: Most are made from soft, stretchy fabric, allowing the wearer to tighten or loosen the garment as needed.

Mules: Extremely easy to slip on and off, and they can be dressed up or down.

Low-heel booties: They can complement and elevate a variety of outfits.

Loafers: Currently trending, durable, and more elegant than a sneaker.

Ballet flats: Cute and comfortable enough to wear for hours of mingling and
    feasting.

    M. Night shot to fame in 1999 with his film The Sixth Sense,
which celebrated turning 25-years-old in August.

Shyamalan recently opened up about that film’s impact on his career in an interview with People.

'At this point, there’s so many generations of people that have watched [my] different movies,’
    the director said.

He added that some, people 'only know me from [2015 movie] The Visit from

  48. Futures: Dow down 0.1%, S&P 500 and Nasdaq down 0.2% each

Dec 2 (Reuters) – U.S. stock index futures started December lower after recording robust gains last month, with focus on a slate of economic data later this week,
including a jobs report, to gauge the Federal Reserve’s interest rate path.

This week’s centerpiece would be the November nonfarm payrolls report due on Friday, a key
metric in also gauging the state of the labor market.

Traders currently see a more than 61% chance of the Fed opting for a 25-basis-point rate
cut when it meets later this month, compared to
a near 83% chance seen a month prior, as per CME’s FedWatch Tool.

An October jobs opening reading is slated to be released on Tuesday, while November private payrolls data is due
    on Wednesday.

The S&P 500 and the blue-chip Dow clocked record closing highs on Friday, capping off
a stellar November for U.S. equities.

Investors relished in U.S. stocks last month after Republican candidate Donald Trump recaptured the White House along with his party sweeping both houses of Congress.

Trump’s policies on tax cuts, tariffs and deregulation could
spur greater corporate performance. However, concerns that his policies could bump up inflation have also led to markets dialing back hopes of the Fed ramping up
    its rate easing cycle.

The week is also packed with data that could indicate how
the economy is faring, including multiple surveys of economic activity
    for the last month.

November manufacturing activity surveys from S&P Global and
the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) are due later in the
    day.

A slate of Fed speakers will also make public appearances this week including Fed Chair Jerome Powell, with investors hunting for any
clues on the central bank’s policy path.

Comments from Fed Governor Christopher Waller and New York Fed President
John Williams would be on the radar later in the
    day.

On the day, most megacap and growth stocks were slightly lower, with Nvidia’s 1.6% fall leading losses.

  49. Briton Matthew Smith, the partner of former Abercrombie & Fitch
CEO Michael Jeffries, leaves court in Central Islip, New York on December 3, 2024

The partner of the ex-CEO of the Abercrombie and Fitch clothing line pleaded not guilty Tuesday in US
federal court to charges of sex trafficking and interstate prostitution and
was released on $10 million bond.

Briton Matthew Smith, the ex-CEO Mike Jeffries and their fixer James Jacobson allegedly used a
„casting couch” ploy to groom aspiring male models to attend sex parties at which victims were plied with alcohol and drugs.

After his arrest in October in Florida with Jeffries, Smith was held
in custody in New York. Smith appeared in court Tuesday in Central Islip on Long Island, to the east of New York City.

Smith pleaded not guilty and was released on a $10 million bond put up by
Jeffries and his family, said a statement from the US attorney’s
office for the eastern district of New York.

An AFP photographer saw Smith leave the courthouse with what appeared to be a large electronic
surveillance bracelet attached to his ankle.

Another hearing is scheduled for December 10 for Smith,
    Jeffries and Jacobson.

Jeffries, 80, was released on a $10 million bond in late
    October.

Jeffries, who served as CEO of Abercrombie and Fitch from 1992 to 2014, is accused of creating and maintaining a ring
that recruited young men to have sex with him and Smith.

Prosecutors allege that between December 2008 and March 2015 Jeffries, Smith and Jacobson used a combination of „force, fraud and coercion”
to traffic men in a sprawling prostitution enterprise.

Charging documents detail 15 anonymous victims, but prosecutors
suggest the scale was probably much larger and have appealed
for witnesses and victims to come forward.

Prosecutors say young men were taken to the New York home of
Jeffries and Smith and to hotels in Britain, France, Italy,
Morocco to have sex with them.

Jeffries faces the prospect of life in prison if convicted.

Jacobson also pleaded not guilty to the same charges as the other defendants and was released on half a million dollars bond in October.

  50. Even if you’re not a wine drinker, chances are you’ve heard of organic wine.
But what is organic wine, and is it the same thing as natural wine?

Is organic wine healthier to drink than regular wine?
And finally, does it taste better than regular wine?

Is organic wine the same as natural wine?
While the terms organic wine and natural wine are often thrown about in equal measure,
they aren’t the same thing. In order for a liqueur to qualify as
organic, the winemaker must adhere to a stringent set of rules and obtain certification as an organic
liquor producer after a 3 year evaluation process.
Once certification has been attained, organic winemakers are subjected to an inspection every 12 months to ensure that they
are working within the designated ground rules.

Where organic winemaking is concerned, no synthetic
substances are permitted to be implemented in the cultivation of the grapevines or the harvesting of
the grapes. The use of preservatives during fermentation are limited.
It is important to note that some naturally grown liquors make
use of thinning products that are sourced from animals.
These thinning products are used to dissolve any excess solid compounds
that are present in the wines. Unfortunately, organic winemakers are not forced
to disclose whether or not animal-sourced products were used during the manufacturing process.

The only way to be certain that the way does
not contain animal-based additives is to purchase
liqueur from a trusted vegan product dealer.

Unlike organic wine, there are no predefined guidelines or compulsory certifications
that are required to make natural wine. The winemaker decides the methods and
parameters that are used to achieve natural liqueur.

While they are free to decide the concentration of sulphur dioxide, many natural winemakers avoid adding it altogether.
Natural wine is not required to be made using naturally grown grapes.
The final outcome of natural wine is one that has only minor intervention or preservatives.

When a customer sees an organic certification emblem displayed upon a liquor bottle, they can be confident that the liqueur
they are buying is produced according to the rigorous regulations outlined by their respective wine
    growing regions.

Does organic or natural wine taste the same as regular
    wine?
When the grapevines from which the organically grown wine
is produced are more wholesome and unpolluted than their regular wine counterparts, than it’s understandable
that the liquor will also carry a superior taste. Those who drink organically
grown wines note that they contain a greater spectrum of flavour, resulting in a more robust taste.
In addition to having a richer flavour, drinkers of organic wines have also observed that the colours are more
    vivid and lively.

Is there anything inherently bad with regular wine?

Wines that are produced using traditional processes are perfectly fine.
However, there are many winemakers and consumers alike that simply
desire a liqueur that does not make use of toxic insecticides
and other poisonous additives during the winemaking process.
With the absence of synthetic toxins, the soil from which organic wines are produced is untainted,
ensuring that the wine is as well. Furthermore, the grapevines of
organic wines yield grapes that deliver stronger flavours,
resulting in wines that possess a more sumptuous taste.

How do you ensure you are buying a wine that is truly organic?

It’s important for consumers to be aware that numerous winemakers brand their wines as organic, in an attempt to make a
quick profit from the wholesome image that sustainably
grown products enjoy. Organic wines are required to
carry a certification logo, and in many countries the
logo will contain a verification number. This number guarantees that the liquor
you are purchasing is authorised to be packaged and sold
as organic wine. If a product contains the word 'organic’
in its name, without an accompanying industry label to
verify its status as such, then it should not be considered organic.

  52. Des électeurs attendent l’ouverture d’un bureau de vote à
Windhoek, le 29 novembre 2024 en Namibie

Namibians returned to vote on Friday in 36 polling stations reopened
two days after a chaotic election, set to test the ruling party’s 34-year grip on power, was marred by technical problems.

Tensions are mounting in the historically stable and peaceful southern African nation where
Wednesday’s election was marked by long delays and labelled a „sham” by the opposition.

Some people waited 12 hours in line to vote in presidential and legislative polls, billed as the
toughest yet for the South West Africa People’s Organisation (SWAPO) party,
in power since Namibia’s 1990 independence from South africa.

Wednesday’s queues were caused by many technical problems, including issues with tablets
used to register voters and shortages of ballot papers.

In some cases, torches used to show up invisible ink
had run out of batteries and mobile voting teams had left
areas with voters still in the queues, it said.

Facing criticism from both voters and parties, the electoral commission extended the vote
for a second time, giving Namibians until Saturday evening to vote.

In the capital Windhoek, at the only polling station picked to reopen, about 60 people
showed up on Friday, including Kluivert Muuondjo who arrived at 4:30 am.

The 21-year-old student said he had waited in line until 11:00 pm on Wednesday
but left before being able to vote as he
    had exams the next day.

    en Namibie

„Everyone will have the chance to vote,” he said.
But because Namibians can vote at any given polling station, he was worried „everyone will flock to one place again.”

The disarray led to angry complaints from opposition parties with some
calling for a halt in the electoral process.

Opposition parties were scheduled to meet on Friday and issue a joint statement, according to Christine Aochamus who represents the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) party.

Youth unemployment, enduring inequalities and the emergence of a generation born after independence
are challenging support towards SWAPO which has ruled since 1990.

Its candidate, vice-president Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, who could become the first woman to lead the country if elected, could
face an unprecedented second round in the mineral rich country.

„To open only one place in Khomas (the region of which the capital is part of) is absurd,” said voter Ensley Engermund, who also said he couldn’t
vote on Wednesday because of long queues despite trying four different polling
    stations.

„Only 1.5 millions voters are registered and we get this chaos?” asked the 49-year-old security agent.

„It was to get people frustrated.”

He continued: 'It has no plot. We would sit there, me and these other guys were all dressed in these security outfits because we’re

The film debuted to a paltry $40 million at the domestic box office, good enough for the weekend’s top spot, but
less than projections, and half that of its predecessor.

Amid the early returns, a number of fans took up for the movie and its cinematic depth,
in breaking away from the cookie cutter nature of sequels to
introduce a musical element not present in the first film, with Lady Gaga joining the franchise.

'Joker 2 was amazing,’ one user said, adding that it was '100% as
divisive as people are making it out to be. I love that the film
didn’t try to be a traditional sequel, and fully committed to the storytelling they presented.
It never deviated to be a film full of Easter eggs or any other crowd pleasing aspects.’

It comes after lead star Lady Gaga was left 'disappointed’ at the immense flood of negative reactions to Joker:
Folie à Deux, with the singer’s team now keen to quickly push out
other projects to help distract from the furore over the film, insiders claim.

Todd Phillips‘ sequel has bombed, raking in just under $40 million at the domestic
box office, and receiving the lowest CinemaScore in comic book movie history.

Gaga, 38, is reportedly confused at the lack of love for her turn as Harleen Lee Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn, alongside Joaquin Phoenix, 49, as
the Joker – a role that won him the best actor Oscar in 2019 – in the wake of the standing ovation it received at the Venice
    Film Festival last month.

'Gaga is surprised by the response to Joker 2 and is shocked that people don’t love it
after the response it received from critics before it premiered,’ a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.

'She put so much heart into the movie and has so much

They added: 'Her team is quietly looking at other projects they can roll out as they want to move on this from as quickly as
